Taller What If…? Alicante: “Ciudadanía Organizada en Red: Herramientas Digitales”

Tras el éxito del taller What If…? Alicante de 2010 nos hemos propuesto repetir la experiencia, esta vez en forma de dos talleres complementarios que permitan abarcar desde las herramientas de participación hasta la acción urbana más directa.

El primero de ellos, “Ciudadanía organizada en red: herramientas digitales”, tendrá lugar los próximos días 21 y 22 de febrero, de 17.30 a 20.30h, en Camon Alicante, y finalizará con otra sesión el 14 de marzo.

Durante las tres tardes que dura el taller los asistentes, en colaboración con cinco expertos en desarrollo de comunidades activas, intentarán responder a un desafío: diseñar una herramienta de participación específica para Alicante a partir de la conversación con otros ciudadanos, asociaciones de vecinos, colectivos sociales y culturales, profesionales de lo social y lo urbano, y representantes del ayuntamiento. A partir de la experiencia del proyecto What If, intentarán aportar una nueva perspectiva al diseño de herramientas digitales en el campo de la gobernalidad y la participación ciudadana activa. Para extender el alcance del taller, se retransmitirán las sesiones de trabajo en livestream, propiciando la participación de asistentes remotos. continue reading

The above schematic represents the relationship between intra-building collaboration and citations. The height of each building reflects the average number of publication citations originating there, and the color reflects the degree to which authors on those publications cohabitated (from gray=low to blue=high). The graphic depicts that, in general, buildings with more intra-building collaborations produced studies with higher citation rates.

Call for projects Public Design Festival 2011 Milan

Public Design Festival edition n° 3 will be held in Milan from 12 to 17 april 2011 with a new formula: site specific projects scattered all over Milan from the city centre to the outskirts of town (Lambrate, Cadorna, Porta Romana, Garibaldi). Young designers, architects and projects makers can submit their projects to realise interventions, services, installations and public design projects.

Deadline January 31.

Public Design Festival is made of a constant research that brings to Milan selected projects  from all over the world with the aim of giving space to public space in building future cities. Cities shall be citizen-friendly, they shall be built on people and relations, cities to live in, not to survive in. The winning projects for this edition will be presented in a urban course that will be visible for the whole city and ready to be experienced from the citizens and visitors of Public Design Festival. continue reading
