CITIES desde [ecosistema urbano]. Por ello invitamos a participar a todas las personas que conocemos dentro de nuestro ámbito profesional.michigan3
La arquitecta norteamericana Celeste Novak recibió nuestra convocatoria para participar sólo unos días antes del comienzo de la Green Fair de su ciudad Ann Arbor en el estado de Michigan. Por este motivo y de manera espontánea recogió la idea y la llevó a la feria para recolectar propuestas ciudadanas para una comunidad más sostenible. Esta Green Fair es una iniciativa de la Oficina del Alcalde; cerrándose parte del centro de la ciudad para permitir la instalación y exhibición de productos ecológicos y sostenibles. La feria incluyó la exposición de coches eléctricos, música en directo alimentada por energía solar y un largo etcétera. de productos y sistemas.
Bajo el lema ¿qué pasaría si Ann Arbor fuese una comunidad sostenible? Celeste colocó un mapa de la ciudad donde la gente podía escribir sus ideas y propuestas así como localizarlas geográficamente.
Nos ha enviado algunos resultados de la actividad así como fotos del evento. Sabemos que incluso el alcalde Heiftje agregó su propia propuesta para el proyecto. Desde Ecosistema Urbano queremos felicitar a Celeste por su iniciativa y agradecerle su contribución al proyecto WHAT IF…….? CITIES.

Meanwhile the staff of Louisiana organise workshops with several schools from Denmark. We publish today the sentence produced by those students. They’ve been asked to finish up the question What if? and in the workshop they build their own cities (starting around their own school) and thinking of how to make the city more sustainable.

What if we had no aeroplanes?

What if people could be satisfied and wouldn´t keep asking for more?

What if all the energy produced from the weight of the cars on the road could be used for heat and electricity?

What if every house produced more energy than it used?

What if there were only public transport in the city?

What if there were gardens on all the roofs in the city?
