Es tiempo de #followarch. Hoy os presentamos a Distopía – Laboratorio de Ciudad.
Distopía – Laboratorio de Ciudad es un estudio que nace en la ciudad de Maracaibo – Venezuela y que al intentar comprender la ciudad, pletórica tanto de potenciales como de problemas; encontramos que la utopia ha sido la figura de la cual se ha calcado su imagen, y por ende hemos querido intervenir sobre ella originando un espacio de crítica y proyección, que nos permita acercarnos desde el punto más complejo y real, el de la distopía en que se ha convertido ese positivismo que la origino.

Parece claro y demostrado que en España eso del “desarrollo sostenible” es algo de lo que todos hablan pero casi nadie practica. También sabemos recientemente que el nerviosismo del mercado por abandonar el cadáver inmobiliario ha sembrado de euros “al calor del sol” los márgenes de muchas infraestructuras. Durante el 2008 al mismo tiempo que muchas grúas eran abandonadas en todas las periferias, la industria “¿sostenible?” solar aprovechaba la cresta de la ola en un boom sin precedentes a nivel mundial, algo parecido a un tsunami fotovoltaico sobre muchos paisajes de la geografía española.

Between October and November 12 exhitions and various live events, disposed on three cities along the Via Emilia, will recount the projects, the researches, the architectures and the trajectories followed in these two years.
The biennial course, introduced in 2007, brought last November in Parma, Modena and Reggio Emilia workshops and lectures, all gathered under the general title Public Landscape, based on the same themes and part of the researches of this year exhibitions and kept from international architects, critics and art historians.

INTRODUCTION: Professional and student architects, urbanists, designers, artists [and related fields], are invited to Barcelona in August 2008 to engage in a collective investigation of the city through the use of advanced digital tools and computer numerically controlled fabrication techniques. The workshop will facilitate collaboration of individuals from a broad applicant base in order to generate new forms of interventions that will be directly deployed and documented within the urban domain of Barcelona.

Si te interesa el arte y las nuevas tecnologías, no puedes no leer el blog de José Luis de Vicente Elastico 3.0 y su sección Think Tank en el ADN.es. En Think Tank, José Luis pretende usar de las claves del periodismo de divulgación científica y trasladarlas al ámbito de la creación.
